Music and Arts Camp

Chatham Baptist Church will be offering the 2^nd annual Music and Arts Camp this summer.  Preschoolers and school age youth will be able to explore God’s creation through music, art projects, and hands-on science presentations.  Please register your children for this unique, creative experience.  Dates are June 20-23, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. with a final closing program at noon on Thursday, June 23.  There will be two age groups.  Preschoolers will be exploring the theme by learning songs about the sky, water, plants and animals, as well as using movement to show these parts of creation.  They will also create many art projects.  The school age participants will also learn songs about parts of God’s creation, create a rain storm with their voices and bodies, and play games identifying natural “music.”  The art time will be used to create watercolors, paintings, pastels, and vases based on real artwork.  Each day, both groups will gather for worship time and they will also meet up for an interactive nature presentation in which they will be able to experience the different wonders of nature.  The cost is $5 if registered before June 13.  After that date, the cost is $7.  The children will also be encouraged to bring donations that will be given to Heifer International.  Registration forms or more information can be obtained at the church office or by calling 434-432-8003.
