There are quite a few events in November that you will want to mark on your calendars!
Daylight Saving Time Ends on November 2nd, so that means “Fall Back” the clocks on Saturday night. November 2nd is also Communion Sunday so come on in and commune with the Lord.
In November, the Ladies Bible Study continues to meet every Monday at 9:00 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. If you have any questions, please call the church office at 432-8003.
Zumba will continue to meet and dance on Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. They will not meet on Tuesdays.
On November 3rd and November 17th, Girl Scouts will meet at 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. If you have any questions or would like to join, please call Lisa Wiebking at 434-942-8371
In November, we will continue to have our Catered Meals at 5:30 p.m. followed by Youth group or Children’s Choir Practice. The children will be practicing to have two performances. Adult Choir practice will be at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday. We will not have any activities on November 26th.
On November 5th, the children and youth of the church will be going to visit Tommy and Kathryn Geyer at their home at 6:00 p.m. They will then return to the church for youth group or children’s choir practice.
The Ark is at it again! They will be viewing the High Point Museum and eating at Carter Brother’s BBQ and Ribs for lunch. The bus will leave at 8:30 a.m. Please call Carolyn Walton if you have any questions or would like to join. (432-0842)
On December 6th, the Ark will be going to see the Liberty Christmas Program at Thomas Road Church. The bus will leave at 5:00 or 5:15 p.m. Tickets are $16.05 each and there are a limited amount so call today! Carolyn Walton: 432-0842
On Monday, November 10th, there will be a Youth and Children Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
The Deacon’s Meeting will be on November 11th at 5:30 p.m. Deacons, please plan to attend. This will be the last Deacon’s meeting of the year.
On November 12th, the youth group will be going to Dollar General at 6:15 p.m. to purchase items for Operation Christmas Child. Donations for the purchasing of items must be turned in to the church by November 10th. Please designate your gift by putting Operation Christmas Child in the memo line or designating your envelope.
On November 15th, weather permitting, we will go to the Peaks of Otter. We will enjoy the beautiful fall colors and the wonder of God’s creation. All ages are welcome. Please pack a picnic lunch. We will leave on the church bus at 9:00 a.m. If you plan to attend, please call the church office at 432-8003.
On November 18th, the WMU ladies will take the Operation Christmas Child filled shoe boxes to the Associational Office and help pack from 1:00- 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. If you have any questions, please call the church office at 432-8003.
On November 25th, the WMU ladies will be hard at work again. They will be setting up the Chrismon Tree in the sanctuary. If you would like to lend a hand, they will be starting at 12:00 p.m. (lunch time).
