VBS got off to a great start today. We had lots of kids, great music, interesting lessons, and lots of fun! VBS is “going green” this year, and kids are asked to bring recyclables including plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and aluminum tabs. To help our local food bank, kids are also bringing canned goods in a contest between the boys and girls — the score tonight: Girls 1, boys 0. Here are some photos of VBS. See you Monday through Thursday at 5:30 PM for supper, and 6 – 8 PM for VBS!

VBS is an awesome ministry–keep it up! We did a canned food drive as part of our Vacation Bible School program a couple years back. We were sharing stories from Acts and had a missionary emphasis. It was a lot of fun. At the closing program, we had one boy and one girl present a sampling of the food to our local community services leader. May God bless and direct you all.
